Who the consultation is for

  • Adults who want support with their weight and a plan that fits their life
  • Anyone who would like regular check-ins to help them stay on track

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or you have been told you have an eating disorder, speak to a GP first.

What happens at the appointment

  1. Book your consultation

Choose a time that suits you. The consultation is in a private consultation room.

  2. Talking it through

The pharmacist asks about your health, any medicines you take, and what you would like to change.

  3. Your measurements

Your height and weight are measured in private, and you can talk through what your body mass index (BMI) means for you.

  4. A plan built around you

Together you agree steps that fit your routine, such as changes to eating, activity and sleep.

  5. Regular check-ins

Check-ins help you see your progress and adjust the plan. If anything needs a doctor, the pharmacist tells you and refers you to your GP surgery.
